Let's get you set up
Two quick connections and you can publish QuestionPro surveys to your Canvas courses. Per-student LTI is optional and can be added anytime.
- 1QuestionPro
- 2Canvas
- 3Per-student LTI · optional
Step 1 · QuestionPro
Enter your QuestionPro API key, Customer/User ID, and datacenter.
Where to find these
- API key — follow QuestionPro's guide.
- Customer / User ID — log in to QuestionPro → My Account → Customer ID.
- Datacenter — the region your QuestionPro account is hosted in.
Step 2 · Canvas
Connect your Canvas instance with its URL and an access token.
Generate an access token
In Canvas: Account → Settings → Approved Integrations → + New Access Token. Copy the token immediately — Canvas only shows it once.
Step 3 · Per-student delivery (LTI 1.3) · optional
One-time setup by a Canvas admin. Unlocks single-click SSO launches, passes each student's identity to QuestionPro, and posts completion to the Canvas gradebook.
After setup, instructors click QuestionPro in a Canvas course's left-hand menu to open this same publishing console right inside Canvas — no need to come back here.
Option A — Automatic setup
Copy this URL, then in Canvas go to Admin → Developer Keys → + Developer Key → + LTI Key, set Method = Enter URL, paste it, and click Register. Turn the key ON, then add the app to a course (Course → Settings → Apps).
In your QuestionPro survey → Settings → Finish Options, set the finish / redirect URL to the address below. The app appends a one-time gt token at launch, so finishing the survey marks the Canvas assignment complete.
Tip: connect QuestionPro and Canvas above first — LTI builds on those connections.
